U.S. lawmaker "deeply troubled" by thrift backdating
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Rep. Dennis Moore, chairman of a House Financial Services subcommittee on investigations, in a letter obtained by Reuters:
* Moore says he is "deeply troubled" by Treasury Department watchdog's new report on capital contribution backdating by thrifts.
* More says in a letter to Office of Thrift Supervision acting director John Bowman that he wants written replies in response to his questions about the matter.
