U.S. says oil spike would delay economic recovery

ROME (Reuters) - A major spike in oil prices would delay an economic recovery in the United States, U.S. energy secretary Steven Chu said at a news conference on Sunday.

"If oil prices do spike up considerably that would be a factor in delaying economic recovery," Chu said.
