FACTBOX: Top U.S. states for green jobs

(Reuters) - The United States had more than 770,000 jobs in the

emerging "green collar" sector in 2007 which compared with about 1.2 million

jobs in the traditional energy economy, according to report by the Pew

Charitable Trusts.

In order to push the number of green jobs higher, in fields such as

renewable energy and pollution abatement, especially during the recession,

Washington should pass comprehensive energy policy, the study said.

The report did not include jobs in nuclear energy or in growing corn to
