Ahmadinejad leads after 10 million votes counted: official

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was ahead with almost 69 percent of the votes in Friday's presidential election, after 35 percent of the ballot boxes had been counted, election commission figures showed.

Ahmadinejad's main challenger, moderate former Prime Minister Mirhossein Mousavi, had nearly 29 percent of the votes cast, according to the commission which is part of the Interior Ministry.
