Tremor shakes Italian region hosting G8 summit
ROME (Reuters) - A strong tremor shook the central Italian region of Abruzzo which will host next month's summit of G8 leaders on Monday, nearly three months after a devastating earthquake there killed nearly 300 people.
The tremor of 4.4 magnitude shook buildings and caused frightened survivors to run from tent villages built to shelter thousands of people left homeless by the April 6 quake, media reported.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or serious damage.
