(Reuters) - Two British soldiers have been killed during operations in southern Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence said Thursday.

The soldiers were killed Wednesday by an explosion near Lashkar Gah, a town in Helmand province in southern Afghanistan that is a focus of fighting with the Taliban.
