LOCH LOMOND, Scotland (Reuters) - South African Gary Player will take a trip down memory lane later this month when he competes in the Senior British Open at Sunningdale at the age of 73.
The nine-times major champion landed his maiden European Tour victory at the English venue when he won the Dunlop Tournament 53 years ago.
"My memories of Sunningdale are all good," Player said in a news release on Friday. Among the other competitors at the July 23-26 event will be Tom Watson, Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Sandy Lyle, Greg Norman and Ian Woosnam.
