Powell to race Bolt over 100m in London
LONDON (Reuters) - Asafa Powell will take on fellow Jamaican Usain Bolt over 100 metres in what should be the highlight of the London Grand Prix on July 24, organisers said on Wednesday.
Powell, a former world record holder who has won three previous races at Crystal Palace with sub-10 second runs, was the last man to beat triple Olympic champion and world record holder Bolt on the track, in Stockholm a year ago.
Bolt will also run in the 4x100 metres relay at Crystal Palace on July 25 though Powell, who anchored Jamaica to relay gold in Beijing, will not be part of the team.
