LONDON (Reuters) - United Utilities (UU.L) is reviewing its unregulated businesses in a move which could lead to a sale that raises up to 800 million pounds, the Independent on Sunday newspaper said.

The paper, citing an unnamed "City banker," said Britain's biggest listed water company might sell businesses not overseen by regulator Ofwat as early as September.

The businesses include a metre installation contract with British Gas Trading and a water facilities upgrading contract in Australia, as well as operations in Bulgaria, Estonia, Poland and the Philippines.

United Utilities was not immediately available for comment.
