LONDON (Reuters) - Teenager Aaron Ramsey scored a stunning goal and set up two more as Wales overpowered a toothless Scotland 3-0 in a friendly international in Cardiff on Saturday.

The Arsenal midfielder put in a perfectly flighted cross from the right for David Edwards to volley the opening goal on 17 minutes after Scotland had made the brighter start.

The 18-year-old then found Joe Ledley inside the box, who squared the ball across goal for Simon Church to grab his first goal for Wales in the 32nd.

Ramsey made it 3-0 three minutes later with a solo effort after jinking past defenders to slot the ball past goalkeeper David Marshall.

The teenager, who has now scored in successive internationals, was named man-of-the-match in the first international played at the new Cardiff City Stadium.

Scotland have not beaten Wales since 1984 and suffered their fourth successive away defeat without a goal, piling more pressure on manager George Burley.

Neither country has qualified for next year's World Cup finals in South Africa.
