WASHINGTON, Oct 4 (Reuters) - U.S. Energy Secretary Sam Bodman said on Thursday that the Energy Department has no "immediate plans" to go into the market to purchase oil for refilling the nation's Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

Speaking to reporters, Bodman also said that he is concerned that a lack of infrastructure to transport ethanol from the Midwest, where it is mostly produced, to other parts of the country is leading to a supply glut of the fuel.
