Aid for jobless, homebuyers clears US Congress
WASHINGTON, Nov 5 (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday voted to extend aid for jobless workers and broaden tax breaks for homebuyers and businesses in a bid to breathe life into the struggling U.S. economy.
The measure, which passed by a vote of 403 to 12, now heads to President Barack Obama to sign into law.
