D.Boerse says Xetra volume up 55 pct yr/yr in Oct

FRANKFURT, Nov 1 (Reuters) - Cash equities trading volume in Deutsche Boerse's (DB1Gn.DE) Xetra electronic order book increased 55 percent year-on-year in October, the German stock exchange operator said on Thursday.

On the group's derivatives exchange Eurex, the number of interest rate contracts increased 6 percent, the number of index contracts rose 53 percent and the number of equity contracts rose 12 percent, Deutsche Boerse said in a presentation slide prepared for a conference call for analysts a day after the group reported third-quarter earnings above market expectations.
