DUBLIN (Reuters) - Ireland's Financial Regulator said on Thursday it was working together with the UK's Financial Services Authority (FSA) on an investigation into market abuse.

"The Financial Regulator is concerned that false and misleading rumours circulating in financial markets in recent days are connected to unusual trading patterns in Irish shares," it said in a statement.

"The Financial Regulator is examining certain transactions in this regard."
