WASHINGTON, June 22 (Reuters) - One death was confirmed in
a Washington subway crash during Monday afternoon rush hour, a
District of Columbia fire official told Fox 5 television
station.

"We have a number of injuries," Alan Etter of the fire
department told the television station. "The rescue operation
continues right now."
