NEW YORK, Feb 16 (Reuters) - Univision Communications Inc. UVN.N said Umbrella Acquisition, which is due to merge with Univision, plans to offer $1.5 billion in senior notes due 2015.

Univision, the largest U.S. Spanish-language broadcaster, said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it will be the surviving corporation in the merger.
