Franklin Bank delays filing of annual report
NEW YORK, March 14 (Reuters) - Franklin Bank Corp FBTX.O said on Friday that it will delay filing its annual report due to possible accounting, disclosure and other issues related to residential mortgages and real estate.
Franklin Bank said its board found in February that there may be issues that could affect its financial statements and that an audit committee had begun an internal investigation with the help of independent legal and accounting advisors.
The company said it does not expect the results to affect its banking subsidiary's status as a "well capitalized" institution. (Reporting by Ritsuko Ando; Editing by Christian Wiessner)
