Centrica says trading in line with earlier guidance

LONDON (Reuters) - British Gas-owner Centrica (CNA.L) said on Thursday its was continuing to trade in line with guidance released last month.

The company said in May its first-half operating profit would be below last year due to lower profits at the British Gas business, which has been hurt by soaring wholesale gas prices.
