Taylor Wimpey CEO says confident of raising funds
LONDON (Reuters) - Taylor Wimpey Chief Executive Pete Redfern said the housebuilder had failed to raise the cash it sought due to a lack of interest from new investors but remains committed to raising the funds in the near future.
"We think that we've got the time and options to complete the capital raising in the near future," Redfern told reporters on a conference call. "We don't rule out any funding options."
The CEO also confirmed that the housebuilder was seeking around 500 million pounds in additional capital.
