Ashmore assets up 3 percent
LONDON (Reuters) - Ashmore Group (ASHM.L), the emerging markets-focused fund manager, said its assets under management rose 3 percent in the three months to June and said its full-year results were in line with expectations.
In a trading update, Ashmore said total assets under management rose to $37.5 billion (18.8 billion pounds) by June 30 from $36.3 billion at the end of March.
The company added its results for the year to June 30, to be published on September 16, were "in line with management expectations."
Over the year as a whole, performance fees -- payable when investment returns exceed stated targets -- stood at 12.8 million pounds, the company said.
London-based Ashmore attributed the increase in assets under management in the final quarter of the year to new client subscriptions, with investment performance remaining neutral.
Over the year as a whole, assets rose by $5.9 billion, an increase of 19 percent.
