CEO says 888 considers acquisition opportunities
LONDON (Reuters) - Online gaming company 888 Holdings (888.L) is considering acquisition opportunities and is likely to do a deal in the months ahead, Chief Executive Gigi Levy told Reuters.
"We are definitely looking into a few acquisition opportunities. We are quite likely to be doing an acquisition in the coming quarters," Levy said in an interview.
"For the time being, we see ourselves as consolidators."
Levy declined to give further details.
888's most recent acquisition was the $32.4 million (16.4 million pound) takeover of the online bingo division of privately owned Globalcom in March 2007.
In April last year, 888 and Ladbrokes (LAD.L) broke off talks about a possible takeover of 888 by the bookmaker.
