BRIEF-Rostelecom H1 net profit falls 85 pct

MOSCOW, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Rostelecom (ROS.N)(RTKM.MM):
* Reports H1 2009 IFRS results
* Says net profit fell 85.4 percent, year-on-year, to 1.43
billion roubles from 9.83 billion roubles in H1 2008
* Revenue rose 4.4 percent to 32.77 billion roubles compared
with 31.40 billion roubles a year ago
* OIBDA decreased 26.9 percent to 5.74 billion roubles against
7.85 billion roubles in the same year-ago period
* OIBDA margin fell to 17.5 percent from 25 percent in H1 2008
* Operating expenses increased 13.4 percent to 30.80 billion
roubles from 27.16 billion roubles in January-June 2008
