Jeweller Signet like-for-like sales fall 4.5 percent
LONDON (Reuters) - Signet Group (SIG.L), the world's biggest speciality jewellery retailer, posted a 4.5 percent fall in second-quarter like-for-like sales, but said price increases would help it keep full-year margins steady.
In the United States, where Signet trades as Kay Jewellers and Jared the Galleria of Jewellery, like-for-like sales fell by 5.8 percent in the 13 weeks to August 2, it said on a statement on Thursday.
In Britain, where the firm trades as H.Samuel and Ernest Jones, same-store sales fell 0.6 percent.
