Fyffes H1 earnings rise, repeats H2 warning
DUBLIN (Reuters) - Fyffes (FFY.I), the Irish distributor of tropical fruit, on Thursday posted a 32.7 percent rise in first-half earnings but repeated its warning that cost rises would hit full-year results.
Adjusted earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose to 15.5 million euros ($22 million) in the six months to the end of June, compared with 11.7 million a year earlier, it said.
Fyffes (FFY.L) reiterated that it targeted full-year 2008 adjusted EBIT in the range of 12 million to 15 million euros.
