Alliance & Leicester chairman dies
LONDON (Reuters) - Mortgage bank Alliance & Leicester said on Tuesday its chairman, Derek Higgs, had died suddenly on Monday.
A&L said in a statement Chief Executive David Bennett would return to work on May 6 after recovering from illness.
