Enodis says adjusted pretax profit up 6 percent
LONDON (Reuters) - Food equipment maker Enodis ENO.L, which has agreed Illinois Tool Works's (ITW.N) 1.03 billion pounds bid, posted a 6 percent rise in first-half underlying profit on Tuesday.
Enodis, which makes fryers and grills for fast-food restaurants such as McDonald's (MCD.N), said it made adjusted pretax profit of 28.3 million pounds in the 26 weeks ended March 29.
The company also said its overall expectations of underlying performance for the year remain unchanged.
