LONDON, Feb 28 (Reuters) - ITV (ITV.L) Executive Chairman Michael Grade has agreed to stay in his post until the end of 2010, one year longer than his original three-year term, the group said on Thursday.

Britain's biggest commercial broadcaster also said that Peter Fincham, the BBC One channel controller who stepped down last year over a row about a documentary on the Queen, would become the ITV Director of Television.

He succeeds Simon Shaps who had headed the ITV channels division since 2005, and will start in the spring.
