CORRECTION - - ENRC says Kazakhmys one of many global opportunities

LONDON, April 9 (Reuters) - Kazakh mining group Eurasian Natural Resources Plc (ENRC.L) said it was looking at growth opportunities worldwide and that a possible takeover of rival Kazakhmys (KAZ.L) was only one of them.

"We are focusing on the growth of this company in central Asia, but besides this we are also looking at growth opportunities on a worldwide basis," Chief Executive Johannes Sittard told a results conference call on Wednesday.

"We have quite a range of opportunites identified and one of these opportunties is Kazakhmys and we will evaluate and whatever gives us the best shareholder value creation for our money, we will pursue."
