Wynn Resorts second-quarter profit rises
LOS ANGELES, July 24 (Reuters) - Wynn Resorts Ltd (WYNN.O) said on Thursday its second-quarter net profit rose due to a tax gain and higher earnings at its Macau casino.
The company created by casino mogul Steve Wynn reported net income of $272 million, or $2.42 cents per share, up from $89.6 million, or 82 cents a share, a year earlier.
The company, which warned earlier this month of a profit shortfall at its Las Vegas casino, said it earned $1.11 per share after excluding one-time items. (Reporting by Deena Beasley; Editing by Gary Hill)
