PolyOne 1st-qtr profit falls slightly

NEW YORK, May 6 (Reuters) - PolyOne Corp (POL.N), a maker of specialty polymers, said on Tuesday its first-quarter profit fell slightly, hurt by a weak U.S. housing market and high raw material costs.

Net income in the quarter was $6.5 million, or 7 cents a share, down from a profit of $7.4 million, or 8 cents a share, a year earlier. (Reporting by Mark McSherry)
