WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Legislation to stimulate the U.S. economy could be sent to President George W. Bush within three weeks, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said on Tuesday.

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, at the start of a meeting with congressional leaders also said such legislation was "moving quickly" and he applauded the cooperation between Democrats and Republicans.

"I'm very encouraged by the conversations that we all have been able to have in the last weeks and days."
