(Adds details)

WILLEMSTAD, Sept 8 (Reuters) - About 10 units at a 320,000 barrel-per-day oil refinery operated by Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA on the island of Curacao were offline on Monday due to a power outage, a refinery spokesman said.
The outage at a plant that supplies electricity to the Isla refinery knocked the units out at the weekend and it could be days before they are all operating normally again, causing millions of dollars of losses, the official, Kenneth Gjisbertha, said.
PDVSA has suffered a series of accidents and outages at its refineries over the past few years.
Dating from World War I, the Isla refinery on the Caribbean tourist island, just off the Venezuelan coast, faces growing complaints by residents and several lawsuits charging that its industrial emissions cause health problems ranging from chronic coughing to cancer.
Curacao is a territory of the Netherlands. (Reporting by Irasi Jimenez, Writing by Saul Hudson; editing by Jim Marshall)
