FOREX-Euro gains after U.S. jobless claims data

NEW YORK, May 28 (Reuters) - The euro briefly rose against the dollar on Thursday as an unexpected increase in U.S. first-time filings for unemployment benefits raised some doubts about the strength of the labor market.

The single currency was last down 0.14 percent at $1.08890 on the EBS trading system.
