MFResidential Investments files for $250 mln IPO
WASHINGTON, Feb 12 (Reuters) - MFResidential Investments Inc on Tuesday said it is planning an initial public offering of as much as $250 million in common stock.
The newly formed company said it will invest primarily, on a leveraged basis, in residential mortgage-backed securities, residential mortgage loans and other real estate-related financial assets.
It has hired UBS Investment Bank, Bear Stearns & Co Inc, Deutsche Bank Securities and Morgan Stanley to underwrite the IPO, according to an offering document filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company, which will be managed by a subsidiary of real estate investment trust MFA Mortgage Investments MFA.N, is seeking a New York Stock Exchange listing under the symbol "MFR."
