TALLAHASSEE, Fla., April 21 (Reuters) - Florida's First District Court of Appeal is still considering Allstate Corp's (ALL.N: Quote, Profile, Research) contention it should not be barred from writing new policies in the state, authorities said on Monday.

An earlier order had barred Allstate from issuing new polices in Florida, but Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty said that was issued due to a clerical error and the matter still needs to be resolved. (Editing by Andre Grenon)
