BMW aims to sell more 7 Series than last generation
MUNICH (Reuters) - BMW (BMWG.DE: Quote, Profile, Research), the world's largest premium carmaker, plans to sell more models of its new top-of-the-line 7 Series luxury saloon than the total of more than 320,000 sold of the last generation.
The new 7 Series, built in BMW's Dingolfing plant in Bavaria, will make its debut in showrooms in November and the company expects to generate sales of 340,000 units by the time its life cycle ends.
BMW also plans to launch late next year a "mild hybrid" version of the 7 Series, produced in partnership with the Mercedes-Benz (DAIGn.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) S-Class mild hybrid.
