BANGKOK, May 16 (Reuters) - Thailand's benchmark stock
index .SETI was up 15.40 points, or 1.8 percent, at 871.01
points in moderate turnover of 18.7 billion baht ($577.3
million) at 0800 GMT on Friday.
 Stocks on the move included:
 - Padaeng Industry PCL PDI.BK, Southeast Asia's only zinc
smelter, dipped 3.25 percent to 29.75 baht, having dropped to
its lowest since January 2007 at 29.50 baht, after the firm
posted a 36.9 million baht net loss in the first quarter
compared with a 313.8 million baht profit it made a year
earlier.
The January-March loss was clouded by rising cost of
inventories, falling zinc prices and expiring mining leases
since October 2007, the firm said in a statement.

 - Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services BAFS.BK fell 1 percent
to 10.20 baht after the company said 2008 net profit would be
lower than a 543 million baht a year earlier due to faltering
fuel demand use and soaring oil prices which curbed flight
numbers.
 0759 GMT
 - True Corp TRUE.BK, a fixed-line operator, surged 4.1
percent to 5.10 baht, having hit a one-month high of 5.25 baht
earnings up 562 percent, beating market expectations.
