Exxon reports no output impact from Baytown glitch
HOUSTON, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said a 1-hour, 22-minute upset on a delayed coking unit at its 563,000 barrel per day (bpd) Baytown, Texas, refinery on Tuesday had no impact on production, according to a notice filed with state pollution regulators.
The upset occurred when a "1st-stage discharge emergency block valve closed on compressor C-101," according to the notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Exxon's Baytown refinery is the largest in the United States.
