NYMEX to launch 4 Brent crude options contracts

NEW YORK, Feb 12 (Reuters) - The New York Mercantile Exchange said on Tuesday it will launch four Brent crude oil options contracts to trade on its ClearPort electronic platform and on its trading floor, beginning on March 2 for trade date March 3.

NYMEX, a subsidiary of NYMEX Holdings Inc. (NMX.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said the new contracts and their commodity codes are: American style Brent crude oil options OS, European style Brent crude oil look-alike options BE, WTI-Brent crude oil spread options BV, and Brent crude oil average price options BA.

The first listed month will be April 2008, with the minimum price fluctuation at $0.01 per barrel and fees will be waived for three months, NYMEX said.
