PGNiG Q1 net profit down 1 pct, beats forecasts
WARSAW, May 14 (Reuters) - Poland's dominant gas group PGNiG PGNI.WA reported a smaller-than-expected 1-percent fall in quarterly earnings on Wednesday, hurt by delays by regulators to allow it to raise gas prices.
PGNiG posted a first-quarter net profit of 779 million zlotys ($355.9 million) versus 615 million seen a Reuters poll. Last year, when a previous price hike came into effect, the gas monopoly earned 787 million zlotys. (Reporting by Marynia Kruk)
