SYDNEY, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Primary Health Care Ltd (PRY.AX: Quote, Profile, Research) sought a suspension of trading in its shares on Wednesday, pending an announcement.

It did not give further details.

The Australian Stock Exchange said the suspension would remain in force until the start of share trading on Monday Feb. 18 or when the announcement was made.

Primary said on Tuesday it had secured a 52.27 percent interest in Symbion, and indicated it would declare its offer unconditional providing certain conditions were not triggered before the end of Tuesday. ($1=A$1.11) (Reporting by Jonathan Standing)
