Union says Freeport's Cerro Verde heads for strike
LIMA, July 2 (Reuters) - Workers have approved plans to strike at Freeport-McMoRan's (FCX.N: Quote, Profile, Research) Cerro Verde copper pit in Peru after holding a first-round vote on Wednesday, a union leader said.
"In the morning, the assembly voted to approve the strike. But we still need approval from the afternoon group," Leoncio Amudio told Reuters.
