Rugby-Tialata and Ioane suspended from Super 14
SYDNEY, May 13 (Reuters) - Wellington prop Neemia Tialata and Queensland winger Digby Ioane have both been suspended by the SANZAR judiciary for dangerous tackles in the Super 14.
Tialata was banned for one match for a dangerous tackle on Western Force wing Dane Haylett-Petty in Wellington on Friday.
The ban means Tialata will miss this week's final round match against the Auckland Blues but be available for the semi-finals if the Hurricanes qualify.
Wellington are second in the table on 40 points, but could still miss the playoffs if they lose to Auckland and other results propel the New South Wales Waratahs (39), South Africa's Stormers (37) and Sharks (37) and Blues (36) into contention.
Ioane was suspended for four matches after pleading guilty to a dangerous tackle on Canterbury Crusaders centre Casey Laulala at Brisbane on Saturday.
Queensland are already out of the running for a spot in the playoffs but face the Waratahs in the final round.
