South Africa's March new vehicle sales rise 2.1 percent year/year

JOHANNESBURG, April 3 (Reuters) - South Africa's new vehicle sales rose 2.1 percent year-on-year to 48,534 units in March, data from the trade and industry department showed on Monday.

Exports inched down 9.7 percent to 25,020 units compared with the same month a year earlier, the department said. (Reporting by Olivia Kumwenda-Mtambo; Editing by James Macharia)
