ZAGREB, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Two goals from Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva secured Croatia a 2-0 victory over Estonia in Euro 2008 qualifying on Saturday.
A foul on the Brazilian-born player led to a sixth-minute penalty but Darijo Srna's effort hit the post.
Croatia piled on the pressure and had to wait until the 39th minute to break through when Eduardo scored with an overhead kick.
Eduardo then latched on to a fine pass from Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Luka Modric six minutes later to add his second goal with a superb long-range shot.
"Everything is still open in our group. We are a Formula One racer and have kept a few seconds of advantage but we have to be cautious to avoid fatal errors," said Croatia coach Slaven Bilic. Croatia top Group E with 20 points from eight matches, ahead of Russia (18) and England (17).
Bilic's team play Andorra on Wednesday.
