Spanish stocks - Factors to watch on Monday

MADRID, Feb 4 (Reuters) - The following Spanish stocks may be affected by newspaper reports and other factors on Monday:

IBERDROLA (IBE.MC: Quote, Profile, Research), GAS NATURAL (GAS.MC: Quote, Profile, Research), FENOSA (UNF.MC: Quote, Profile, Research), REPSOL (REP.MC: Quote, Profile, Research)

The possible interest of France's EDF in Spain could pave the way for a merger between Iberdrola, Gas Natural and Union Fenosa, with asset sales to the French group, a move which would receive the blessing of any government following the March election, El Mundo said on Sunday without citing sources.

El Mundo reported separately, also without citing sources, that Repsol could be interested in merging with both Gas Natural -- in which it is the leading shareholder -- and Union Fenosa.
