Tindall to miss rest of Six Nations
LONDON (Reuters) - England centre Mike Tindall is unlikely to play any further part in this year's Six Nations championship after suffering a bruised liver in the defeat by Wales at Twickenham on Saturday.
The Gloucester player spent Saturday night in hospital undergoing observation and a further update on his condition is expected on Monday, an England Rugby statement said on Sunday.
There were several walking wounded after England's shock 26-19 defeat with wing David Strettle, flanker Lewis Moody and Tom Rees all out of next weekend's match against Italy.
Strettle lasted only 13 minutes before going off with a foot injury, Moody has a right Achilles tendon injury while his replacement Rees has medial ligament damage in his left knee.
All three will undergo further imaging and specialist reviews early next week.
England will announce any additions to the squad on Monday.
