LONDON (Reuters) - Briton Tony Rolt, a former Le Mans 24 Hours winner who was also the last surviving driver to have raced in Formula One's first championship grand prix of 1950, has died aged 89.

The British Racing Drivers Club (BRDC) said on their Web site (www.brdc.co.uk) that Rolt, the last of their pre-World War Two members, and who was elected in 1936, had died on Wednesday. He won Le Mans in 1953 for Jaguar.
