Williams helps Wales beat Scotland
CARDIFF (Reuters) - Shane Williams scored twice as Wales overcame Scotland 30-15 at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday to continue their unbeaten start in the Six Nations.
The wing touched down in either half to extend Warren Gatland's 100 percent start as Wales coach, while James Hook scored a try in between.
Scotland remained in the contest for more than an hour thanks to the boot of Chris Paterson which provided all of their points.
The hosts were given a rapturous reception on their return to their home ground following last week's win at Twickenham.
Despite Wales' early domination, it was the visitors who opened the scoring through Chris Paterson's penalty on 10 minutes.
Wales hit back within two minutes as a sweeping move involving Gavin Henson, Hook and Lee Byrne found Williams who went through for his 36th test try.
Gatland's men were handed a further boost three minutes later when Scotland saw lock Nathan Hines was yellow carded for a swinging arm on Byrne.
The hosts failed to capitalise on their numerical advantage, waiting until Hines was back on the pitch before increasing their lead to seven points with a Hook penalty on 28 minutes.
Scotland suffered a blow when skipper Jason White was replaced on the half hour by Allister Hogg after suffering what appeared to be a head injury. Continued...
