Sony Ericsson exec-N.American trends positive

STOCKHOLM, May 14 (Reuters) - The head of sales for handset maker Sony Ericsson (6758.T: Quote, Profile, Research)(ERICb.ST: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Wednesday developments in the venture's North American operations were positive and it should be able to build on this.

"We are ... starting to see a positive momentum in the North American business," Anders Runevad, executive vice president and head of sales at the 50-50 venture between Ericsson and Sony, said at an investor presention.

"And we think this is a momentum we can continue to build."
